WGAL reporter Ed Weinstock is retiring from the Lancaster, Pennsylvania NBC affiliate after nearly 40 years.
“I couldn’t have done it without the help of so many people, including the News 8 team, which has backed me up so many times, not to mention so many others across the Susquehanna Valley who have put their trust in me over these years,” he said. “And I hope I’ve lived up to that trust,” he said. “All I can say right now is thank you. Thank you so much. And again, I could not have done it without all of you.”
According to his station bio, he started his career in radio and worked in Connecticut for three years, Florida for one year, Houston for four years, Boston for four years and San Francisco for one year, before joining WGAL in 1986.
His last day is Friday.
