Jewell Hillery has been promoted to anchor of WGN Saturday Morning News and WGN Sunday Morning News.

Hillery will work alongside co-anchor Sean Lewis starting Saturday, September 14.

A Chicago native, Hillery joined the Chicago station as a general assignment reporter in September of 2021.  Before that, she spent several years as a reporter in Jackson, Mississippi, first at WLBT and then WAPT as an anchor and reporter. She started her journalism career at WTVO in Rockford, Illinois, as a general assignment and consumer reporter.
