If you thought President Donald Trump‘s tariffs sounded unbelievable when they were first announced in early April, just imagine if you had missed “Liberation Day” completely.

That’s the scenario confronted by the four contestants on Greg Gutfeld‘s new Fox Nation game show, What Did I Miss? The quartet were sequestered in an information-free zone in upstate New York from Inauguration Day through April 13. When they emerged from their 100-day isolation, Gutfeld was ready and waiting to quiz them on all the headlines they missed… some of which never happened.

In this exclusive clip from the show’s second episode—available to stream May 13 on Fox Nation—one of those eager contestants, Mark, learns about Liberation Day and its many tariffs for the first time. Not surprisingly, he has a hard time believing what he’s hearing.

“I think it’s fake news,” Mark says confidently when Gutfeld asks him to decide whether that’s a real decision made by the Trump administration. Needless to say, his mind is blown when he learns that the White House really did decide to tax every country on Earth… even one famously populated by penguins.

“He held this little chart,” Gutfeld adds, showing an image of Trump pointing to the now-infamous Rose Garden chart that listed all of his prescribed tariffs, based on math that many economists later deemed dubious. Mark proceeds to shake his head in a mixture of shock and surprise, but his fellow contestants console him by admitting they also assumed that Liberation Day couldn’t have been real.

“Historically, the first 100 days of any new administration is always news making, and President Trump never shied away from the fact that he wanted to move fast with his agenda,” What Did I Miss? executive producer Jorden Rosenblum tells TVNewswer about the process of selecting the real news stories featured on the show. “So I guess you can say we made a highly educated guess that we were going to have a lot of material to work with!”

It’s safe to say that Mike and the other contestants are now fully up to speed on Liberation Day and its aftermath–specifically the fact that Trump walked back many of those initial tariffs after the global markets endured a wild two weeks. Meanwhile, audiences will be trying to guess who ultimately walks away with the $50,000 jackpot in the third and final episode, set to debut on Fox Nation on May 14.

“So much of Greg’s humor on Gutfeld! stems from the absurdity of the news and how literally unbelievable it can be, ” Rosenblum says of the experience of making the show. “Luckily for us, he immediately sparked to the idea. Also luckily for us, the incredible team at Fox Nation trusted that we could pull it off—and I think the result speaks for itself.”
