Fox 26 Houston (KRIV) anchor and host of The Isiah Factor Uncensored, Isiah Carey, is taking time off the air after his DWI arrest on Friday.

Carey was arrested for driving while intoxicated last Friday morning, according to Montgomery County jail records. This was Carey’s second DWI charge. His first was in October 2018.

Montgomery County authorities said they saw Carey’s vehicle swerving on the road and later showed various signs of impairment.

“I know that consuming alcohol and driving is a poor decision,” Carey wrote on social media. “This situation does not reflect my values or my commitment to the city I have called home for 20 years. No matter what the outcome, I am committed to working tirelessly to restore the confidence and faith this community has placed in me.”

Carey called this time of his life a “turning point” in his life. “And I promise you this—I will come out of this stronger, wiser, and more determined than ever,” he wrote.
