Terry Moran has been suspended from ABC News following social media posts critical of President Donald Trump and a key member of his administration.

On Sunday morning, Moran posted a lengthy, since-deleted message on X, formerly Twitter, in which he referred to both the president and White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller as a “world-class hater.”

In a statement provided to TVNewser, an ABC News spokesperson said: “ABC News stands for objectivity and impartiality in its news coverage and does not condone subjective personal attacks on others. The post does not reflect the views of ABC News and violated our standards—as a result, Terry Moran has been suspended pending further evaluation.”

In his post, Moran said that Miller is driven by a “capacity for hatred.”

“You can see this just by looking at him because you can see that his hatred are his spiritual nourishment,” Moran added. “He eats his hate.”

Speaking of Trump, Moran said that the president’s hatred is “only a means to an end,” that end being “his own glorification.”

After Moran’s post, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt posted her own social media statement, saying: “We have reached out to ABC to inquire about how they plan to hold Terry accountable.”

Leavitt also made an appearance on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, where she remarked: “Hopefully this journalist will be either suspended or terminated.”
