Alexandra Matcham has been named vice president of content for NBC Sports Philadelphia, while Kelsey Lauder was promoted to director of live events production for NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Matcham will report to NBCU Local Philadelphia president and general manager Ric Harris starting Monday, October 21. Lauder, who has served as the network’s live events operations manager for more than six years, will report to Matcham.

Matcham most recently served as coordinating producer for NFL Media. She’ll lead NBC Sports Philadelphia’s multiplatform content strategy and production. In this position, she will oversee the network’s live-game coverage of the Philadelphia Flyers, 76ers and Phillies; studio programming – such as SportsNet Central, Birds Huddle, pre- and post-game shows for the Eagles, Flyers, 76ers and Phillies – and digital media editorial.

“Alex is an experienced sports media professional who has successfully led high-performing content teams to deliver quality, engaging sports coverage across multiple platforms,” said Harris. “With her passion for sports, award-winning production skills and deep Philadelphia roots, she will make an excellent leader and a great addition to our already talented and dedicated content team.”

Matcham joins NBC Sports Philadelphia after an 18-year tenure with NFL Media. As coordinating producer, she was responsible for all East Coast editorial content and breaking news across TV, digital and social platforms, including Good Morning Football, which earned her a Sports Emmy. After joining NFL Media as a producer in 2006, she also spent four years as senior producer.

Before working at NFL Media, Matcham spent two years with Fox Sports South, now Bally Sports South, producing pre- and post-game Braves coverage and NFL gameday shows covering the Falcons, Titans and Panthers. She began her career as a producer for CNN/SI, the former national sports network.

Lauder has more than 14 years of experience in sports production. In her new role, she will manage the network’s live-game production and operations. Previously, Lauder held production positions with MLB Advanced Media and NFL Network.
