On Thursday, CNN announced that its heavily anticipated streaming subscription product, All Access, will go live on Tuesday, October 28.

The company describes All Access as a one-stop shop for CNN’s journalism, including live and on-demand video programming. Subscribers will have the ability to stream a selection of CNN’s live U.S. and international programming.

In addition, they will have access to more than 1,000 hours of content from the CNN Originals library. They will also receive exclusive new video-on-demand programming, special features from its journalists, exclusive live events, CNN.com articles, and subscriber-only content.

Initially available in the U.S., the new subscription tier will be offered at $6.99 per month or $69.99 annually. However, the network is offering a special introductory price of $41.99 for the first year.

In a statement, Alex MacCallum, evp, digital products and services, CNN Worldwide, described All Access as “an essential step in CNN’s evolution as we work to give audiences the complete CNN experience in a format that reflects how audiences engage with the news today.”

This is CNN’s second attempt at launching a subscription product. In 2022, the network launched the ill-fated CNN+, which was axed less than two months into its existence and two weeks after Warner Media and Discovery formally merged to form Warner Bros. Discovery.

CNN also recently announced it was pulling its live stream from HBO Max in anticipation of its new product.

Building up to the launch of CNN All Access, the network introduced a Basic tier subscription service in October 2024. It featured a metered digital paywall on its website for U.S. visitors. Users are able to read a select number of stories before having to pay a $3.99 subscription fee to unlock additional access and subscriber-only content.

CNN notes that subscribers of the Basic tier will be able to upgrade to the new All Access tier. Additionally, Pay-TV subscribers will be able to log in and access the new streaming product at no extra cost.
