Kayler Smith has joined Dayton, Ohio NBC affiliate WDTN as its first female on-air sports reporter and anchor.

Smith comes from WDTN’s sister station in Midland/Odessa, Texas where she was the station’s sports director for nearly three years.

“First time on air in the 937! I’m humbled and honored to become the first female on air in 2 Sports history,” Smith wrote on social media. “Looking forward to working with the incredible team at WDTN-TV.”
