Newegg is offering a somewhat strange bundle of a year’s subscription to Microsoft Office 365 (which gives you access to the latest desktop apps) combined with a year of Xbox Live Gold for $79.99, via Twitter user Wario64.
One year of Microsoft Office 365 usually costs $69.99 on its own, while a year of Xbox Live Gold tends to run for $59.99. So getting both for $80 is a great price, assuming they’re both services you want.
While the two items are more or less diametrically opposed in concept outside of the shared Microsoft properties, if you’re looking for a holiday gift for a student that simultaneously says “I want you to succeed at college, but I also hope you play tons of Xbox instead of studying,” it’s a pretty great deal.
