Shillington students from around the world share the work of creatives who inspire them in the #ILoveTheseGuys series. In this post, New York student Lauren Meregildo-Santos highlights projects from the Johannesburg designer and illustrator Shaun Hill.

Shaun Hill’s skills as a designer and illustrator make his projects super interesting and give him a signature style. His comic book style illustrations and a bold, complementary color palette make it so that his designs feel like they are leaping off that page at you.

His large, black, heavy type for restaurant ‘Baba G’ give memorability to the brand identity (and help you scan the menu faster—a big plus for me).

He has also worked with Sprite South Africa, using the brand’s icon colors of yellow, blue and green to create bright, quirky images that reflect the brand’s high energy.
