According to the 2019 AIGA Design Census, only 3% of designers across a variety of disciplines are black. It’s clear that the industry is lacking black voices. “Where are the Black Designers” is an initiative to create a platform for creatives of color.
By connecting designers, educators and creative leaders, the organization is hoping to start a dialogue about change in and out of the design industry. Join them virtually for their first annual conference and step forward in initiating this conversation.
Follow them on Instagram @wherearetheblackdesigners.
The online event takes place on 27 June 2020.
