Dinosaurs, killer dolls, and Ethan Hunt, oh my!
This year’s Super Bowl movie trailers are storming the field ahead of the Big Game as Hollywood seeks a return to the blockbuster summers of years past. To achieve that, the major movie studios are relying heavily on sequels, familiar franchises, and the occasional movie star or two.
Some of 2025’s biggest movies are notably sitting on the sidelines, though. For example, James Gunn’s relaunch of Superman—and the entire DC Cinematic Universe—is going the Puppy Bowl route with a special sneak peek booked for that canine-friendly event. Meanwhile, Universal is playing the villain by opting out of previewing Wicked: For Good, the second half of its Oscar-nominated musical extravaganza.
Still, the Super Bowl isn’t lacking for cinematic firepower. This year’s trailers will include entries from Disney, which may showcase such Marvel-ous fare as Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four; Universal is reportedly letting the dinos and dolls out with Jurassic World Rebirth and M3gan 2.0; and Paramount is expected to unleash Tom Cruise for one last impossible mission.
To date, the studios haven’t released many Big Game Spots; however, here’s a running list of all the teasers and trailers you should expect to see on game day. This story will be updated with all the latest thrills and chills:
Jurassic World Rebirth (July 2)
Scarlett Johansson trades the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the Dino Cinematic Universe as the Jurassic World franchise launches its post-Chris Pratt era. With Godzilla director Gareth Edwards at the helm, expect the reptile cast to be bigger and badder… but maybe not as adept at opening doors.
M3gan 2.0 (June 27)
She’s baaaaack. Everyone’s favorite killer android shows off some new TikTok-friendly dance moves in a Flashdance-esque teaser for the horror sequel. What a feeling, indeed.
