Facebook Monday introduced new ways for people to find content on its Facebook Watch long-form video destination.

Users in the U.S. can now follow topics, in addition to the previously available options of following pages and profiles.

Product manager Sherif Kassatly said in a Newsroom post that there are hundreds of topics people can find and follow in Facebook Watch, which can also help users find new pages to follow, and he added that no one else can see which topics a user follows, and they can be added or removed at any time.

Also in the U.S. and other select markets, Facebook Watch visitors will see What’s Happening and Featured sections, leading them to content on timely topics such as the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards, LatinX and Hispanic Heritage Month, Vote-a-Thon 2020 and the World Series.

Other new sections include Most Haha’d This Week and Most Loved This Week, and users will also see videos in their Facebook Watch feeds based on what their friends are reacting to and what is popular in groups they belong to.

Kassatly wrote, “Facebook Watch is the go-to place to discover videos across Facebook, from live events, to TV shows, sports, news or music videos … With over 1.25 billion people visiting Facebook Watch every month, we’re excited to continue building experiences that bring instant entertainment to our community.”
