Glen Dacy Named VP of News Content at WFLD in Chicago

Glen Dacy has been named vice president of news content and streaming for Fox’s Chicago duopoly, WFLD and WPWR.

Dacy will oversee all the editorial, business, and administration functions for the duopoly’s news and media content creation across multiple platforms, reporting directly to Sheila Oliver, svp and gm.

“With decades of Chicago news experience, Glen is the perfect person to lead our news team with a fresh approach and clear vision of what our audience is seeking,” said Oliver.

Dacy last worked with the CBS Network News Special Events Unit as a producer for the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Before that, he spent the last decade as supervising producer covering Investigations, Breaking News and Special Events for CNN.

“As a third generation Chicagoan, and a veteran of covering news from Chicago, I am proud to take the reins of the skilled team of journalists at Fox 32,” said Dacy. “This challenge comes at a fascinating time in our business, and I look forward to bringing the countless remarkable stories of our great city to life.”

Dacy has also worked as producer for several outlets including Rock Center with Brian Williams on NBC News and ABC Network News. Before that, he served as a showrunner and senior producer for Kurtis Productions on A&E’s Investigative Reports. Dacy also spent time as senior producer for WFLD’s Good Day Chicago. Earlier in his career, he held roles at CBS Network News, WMAQ in Chicago, KWWL in Waterloo, Iowa and KCCI in Des Moines.
