Google Ads is finally including customer ID numbers in its emails.

The change was first spotted by digital marketing expert Greg Kohler, who shared a screenshot on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter):

He said: “Customer ID’s in Google’s emails? Going to chalk this one up to #PPCChat respectfully grumbling about it not being included in past emails.”

Why we care. Marketers working across multiple accounts will now immediately know which client a Google Ads email is referring to, meaning they don’t have to waste time playing a guessing game.

Why now? Advertisers in the PPC community have long complained about the confusion caused when Google Ads doesn’t specify which client it’s referring to. It appears as though the platform has acted on this feedback.
