The One Club For Creativity will be having a three-hour workshop with the Australian designer and Young Guns 13 winner Gemma O’Brien to teach participants lettering skills and techniques for large-scale murals. You will learn methods of letter creation, and methods for bold and dynamic design work. Participants will explore expressive script with brush pens, blackletter with balsa and ink, and a series of illustrative lettering exercises. The second part of the class will focus on using your creations from the first part of the session and reworking them for a large-scale space. Gemma will offer her tips for painting a mural (setup, measurements, paint and brush selection).
