Role Details
We are looking to boost our creative operation and production across creative mediums, and are seeking an experienced designer who can build a team, initially of freelancers and partner agencies, and provide creative direction and execution to accomplish this. The role will manage and produce a multi-media platform operation, under the direction of a Headland sponsoring Partner.
We are privileged to work with some of the world’s best and most interesting firms, including TikTok, Shopify, Asos, WeTransfer, TrueLayer, Funding Circle, eBay, Wise, Roblox, Just Eat and many more.
Our work covers a broad range of sectors within tech (fintech, social media, online marketplaces, SAAS, cybersecurity and gaming, to name just a few) and we’re expanding into new areas regularly. We’re looking for a designer who is comfortable with B2C and B2B businesses and who brings the same creativity and rigour to both the promotion and protection of our clients’ brands.
As well as playing an active part in new business, the role will see you develop design solutions for a range of innovative and disruptive businesses, from fast-growing start-ups to global market leaders.
Responsibilities
• Develop internal marketing campaigns and manage the visual aspects of Headland’s own brand, and use across the business.
• Stay up to date with industry trends to keep ahead of competitors
• Produce consistently excellent visual work – for print and digital channels
• Produce a host of ideas, selecting the best ones and selling them to the other members of the team and to clients
• Meet budget by forecasting and managing costs
• Prioritise work and resources across engagements based on short- and long-term needs, establishing production schedules by collaborating with other relevant areas of the business and clients
• Conduct brainstorming sessions with the team, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives in a budgetary responsible manner
• Produce innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print and digital experiences
• Present, or oversee presentation of final concepts, and obtain approvals for deliverables

• Ability to carry a creative vision across creative mediums

• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. With the ability to clearly and compellingly describe design concepts and ideas to clients.
• A great eye and in depth understanding for UI and UX.
Technical Skills:
• Proven graphic designing experience
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics and design work
• Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop essential)
• Additional digital skills (e.g. After Effects, Final Cut, Flash, Dreamweaver) would be an asset but not essential.
• Knowledge of HTML5 & CSS3 also an asset but not essential.
• Traditional typography and print skills.
