Developer and blogger Jane Manchun Wong discovered the feature, called Poses, and said in a tweet that activating the Poses mode in the application’s Stories camera causes it to take four pictures, each three seconds apart, and combine the four images into a stop-motion Story.

Instagram had not responded to a request for comment at the time of this post.
