Leeds Digital Festival have had to postpone their usual festival until the Autumn, but they’ve moved some of their fantastic events online later in the month!
Here’s what the Festival had to say:
“After last night’s Government press conference, we’ve now decided that the best and safest course of action is to postpone a physical Festival until the autumn; we’ll see how the next few weeks develop before we announce a date.
However! We’re a digital festival and we still need to support each other, still need to learn, still need to show off the amazing people, companies and innovation we have in the city and the wider region. We’re still planning to go ahead with the spring Festival, but will only host online events on the Festival website. A number of the submitted events are already virtual events and many more could be streamed. Let’s take this opportunity to put on an amazing Festival, where people can attend safely and virtually.
Please let us know if you are planning a virtual event for the April event; it would be great to include as many as possible. We fully understand that some of you may wish to postpone your events until a later date, and also that some events don’t work online.”
Excitingly, this means our students, Shillumni and readers from all over the world can attend!
20 April-1 May 2020.
