Liz Dueweke is no longer with El Paso, Texas Fox affiliate KFOX.
“Tonight will be Liz Dueweke’s last newscast on KFOX14. We wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors, we’re going to miss you, Liz,” the station posted on social media.
Dueweke started at the station last August after working in Seattle. She anchored the KFOX 5 and 9 p.m. newscasts alongside Robert Holguin.
The El Paso Times said KFOX owner Sinclair Broadcast Group also announced it would change its news production at both KFOX and its CBS affiliate KDBC.
“In the short-term, CBS4 will continue to air its 10 p.m. newscast, adding a simulcast of KFOX14’s newscasts in other dayparts,” said Sinclair. “A reconceptualized newscast will debut on CBS4 later this year,” the email stated.
The El Paso Times asked if the station changes would result in layoffs. The company declined to answer the question.
