Paper Magazine Lays Off Staff, Citing Economic Headwinds

Social platforms are now sending far less traffic to publishers than they did in 2014, and the transition has proven a challenging headwind to many digital publishers. 

Without a robust reader revenue product, Paper Magazine found itself reliant on digital advertising for the bulk of its revenue. As traffic has steadily decreased, so too has its revenue.
