New York
Ryan Carl is a multidisciplinary designer who has worked with clients ranging from Nike to Google and MOMA. After spending a few years working with clients, he started self-initiated projects focused on type, art and design.
In this creative salon, Ryan will discuss his background and process, and walk through his conceptually-driven work that explores themes of identity and being, hope and togetherness. Ryan enjoys the challenge of evoking thought and feeling from concepts heavily rooted in simplicity and clarity. He is currently the VP of Design at Boxed.com. Ryan received a Master’s degree in Religion from University of Oxford, before becoming a self-taught designer and running his own studio. His academic background has helped form his design process of radical simplicity and his ideals of designing with purpose and meaning.
