Here are three things entrepreneurs should know today.

  • The current government shutdown is now the longest ever, with no end in sight. It has resulted in unpaid wages for federal workers, but it also has another consequence: a cease of production of craft beer. Brewers, including Sam Adams, have resorted to drinking beer they can’t sell due to a lack of approval for labels or formulas.
  • It turns out, robots may not be the best workers after all. Japan’s Henn na Hotel, which opened to plenty of fanfare in 2015 for employing robots, including a T-rex at its front desk, will lay off more than half of the automatons. The hotel says they ended up creating work.
  • In TV news, both Hulu and Netflix have documentaries on the disastrous Fyre Festival, which resulted in founder Billy McFarland being sentenced to six years in prison. Hulu’s film is live now, while Netflix’s will premiere Friday. HBO also revealed the final season of Game of Thrones will premiere April 14.
  • Speaking of Netflix, see the latest stock price of the streaming company and other entrepreneur-founded firms on the Entrepreneur Index on Entrepreneur.com.
