Xiaomi’s arrival to the PC gaming space is here, with the Chinese consumer electronic giant’s introduction of the appropriately named Mi Gaming Laptop, per Engadget. The device, which remains exclusive to the Chinese market for now, was introduced at the company’s Mi Mix 2S event alongside the Mi Mix 2S smartphone.

As far as specs go, the device packs a 15.6-inch screen and Nvidia GTX 1060 graphics, with a 7th-generation Intel Core 7 processor. It comes with 16GB of RAM, a 256GB solid-state drive, and 1TB of hard disk storage.

The whole package costs around RMB 8,999, or about $1,430. You can also get a cheaper, less powerful version of the Mi Gaming Laptop that comes with a Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti, 8GB of RAM, and a 128GB solid-state drive. (The cheaper version keeps the 1TB hard disk). However, there doesn’t appear to be pricing info on that one.) Both versions come with ample ports, including multiple USB 3.0 and USB-C, a HDMI port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

As per usual, we don’t know if this product will ever make its way to Europe or North America. But it’s nice to see Xiaomi diversifying its laptop lineup, which up until now has consisted of mainly Apple copycats like the Mi Notebook Pro and Mi Notebook Air.
