The stage is set! Advertisers, don’t miss this cultural moment. ADWEEK House The Big Game is headed to New Orleans on February 7. RSVP.
Super Bowl 59 takes place on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 6:30 p.m. ET from the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, and around a month before the game, Fox is unveiling even more ways to watch.
On Wednesday, Fox, the Super Bowl 59 broadcaster, announced that Fox Sports will roll out a Tubi takeover for the Big Game, which includes a Fox telecast of the Super Bowl on the free ad-supported platform in 4K.
In 2023, Fox made its Fox Sports app free for Super Bowl viewers. However, recent reporting stated the broadcaster wouldn’t be doing that for this year’s Big Game. With the Tubi news, it appears fans now have a free way to watch this year’s Super Bowl.
Inclusive of the Tubi news, viewers can watch and stream the Super Bowl on Fox, Fox Deportes, Tubi, Telemundo, and across NFL digital properties with unauthenticated access across devices, according to Fox Sports.
In addition to those properties, other streamers showcasing the game include DirecTV, Fubo, and YouTube TV.
Good Tubi ad-supported
In addition to showing the game, Fox’s Tubi takeover also includes Fox’s pregame show and a Tubi Red Carpet, which starts at 3:30 p.m. ET. Hosted by Olivia Culpo, the Tubi Red Carpet covers celebrity, fashion, and culture behind this year’s Big Game.
Additionally, viewers can watch the NFL Channel on Tubi to catch its Countdown to the Super Bowl starting on Jan. 28. Programming includes historic Super Bowls, halftime shows, the best of NFL Honors, and NFL analysis.
Beyond Tubi, on Friday, Feb. 7—along with Fox Sports’ regularly scheduled daily studio programming on FS1—the network will showcase a special live presentation on the Fox broadcast channel spotlighting FS1’s programming and personalities.
