Keke Palmer holds many titles: activist, actress, author, media owner, producer, singer, songwriter, and television host, not to mention ADWEEK 2024 Brand Genius. And now, she can add one more: chief brand officer.
Creme of Nature—a Black-founded and Black-led brand offering hair products for care, color, and styling, designed specifically for coily, curly, and wavy hair—welcomed Palmer as its first-ever CBO.
“What really stood out to me about Creme of Nature is its commitment to celebrating Black beauty,” Palmer said in a statement. “From the start, it has been crafting effective, high-quality products that really cater to our unique hair textures and needs. This partnership means so much more than just being an ambassador or face of the brand, but more important, I get to have a voice in shaping the future of a company that truly cares about the same things I do—authenticity, representation, and natural beauty.”
Among her many accomplishments, Palmer founded digital network KeyTV in 2022 as a showcase for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color) talent across entertainment roles.
Her new book, Master of Me: The Memoir, a follow-up to 2017’s I Don’t Belong to You, is scheduled for release in November, and next year will bring a new buddy comedy featuring singer-songwriter SZA and produced by actor and writer Issa Rae.
In her new role with Creme of Nature, Palmer will serve as an on-camera model and spokesperson for the brand, and she will also work closely with its team on shaping its product lines by consulting on product innovation, advising on packaging evolution, and sharing product demonstrations.
She will influence brand direction, marketing, and storytelling to help curate campaigns to engage the multicultural community. Palmer will be featured across digital and social media campaigns, in-store displays, and national advertising, with live appearances on behalf of Creme of Nature kicking off later this year.
