Publicis Groupe CEO Arthur Sadoun likes to put his own spin on the obligatory company-wide Holiday memo leaders are obliged to send in Q4. Every year, he sends out a “Wishes” film, sending seasonal greetings to staffers and outlining a wish-list for the year ahead.
For the 2024 edition, Sadoun has enlisted everyone’s favorite Paris Olympics ambassador and hype man, Snoop Dogg. Not only does Snoop spread Christmas cheer, he also names the annual tradition “The Wishzels” and replaces Publicis Groupe’s famous Lion logo with a dog, naturally.
The video starts with Snoop taking over Sadoun’s usual role, declaring that Publicis Groupe “won big” in 2024, including being named “top dog” at Cannes Lions where Publicis Conseil took home the Agency of the Year accolade. Finally, he acknowledges he needs to bring on Sadoun, who joins Snoop in some fun banter which includes discussing Snoop’s Olympic efforts in Paris this summer.
Things then really take a dip into Dogg’s gin and juice world. Before long, Sadoun dons a Publicis hoodie featuring Snoop’s reimaged design.
Snoop then awards Publicis Groupe “gold” for the year, after stating it’s on track to beat out its rivals in the revenue stakes. He also temporarily renames himself Le Snoop for the remainder of the video, even speaking in French to wish the company a Happy New Year (though his accent might not win over many Parisians.)
The final scenes show Snoop and Sadoun dance around the room with mood lighting to Snoop’s theme “Who Am I (What’s My Name)?”
Make sure you watch the video to the end to see a special dance by Publicis Groupe chairman of the supervisory board Maurice Lévy.
